Property
Our coliving house is a historic treasure with a modern twist. We’ve kept the beauty of the original structure–with the architectural signature touched like the turret with peaked roof, strong archways in rough cut stone, and the majestic lion’s head just below the turret– is set among a row of traditional brownstones in that is changing with the times. The building is the perfect mix of old-world meets new creative.
There are four floors in total, with six fully renovated apartments and more on the way. There is a rooftop with stunning views of the Manhattan Skyline as well as a courtyard with an expansive patio, perfect for parties, social events and an outdoor oasis in the midst of the city.
There are different options for rooms: Suites with en-suite oversized private baths, executive private rooms with en-suite private full bath, regular private rooms with shared bathrooms, twin rooms with shared bathroom and three-people rooms (some of them with en-suite baths). The private rooms have queen beds and the shared rooms have twin beds, there are suites with king beds as well. All linens and towels are provided as comforters and pillows. We provide closets or wardrobes and closet organizing essentials.
The Bernard Brooklyn house is new–the renovation was complete-floor to ceiling– and the refurbished touches are sleek and modern. Granite tubs and glass showers, new top-of-the-line appliances including refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, dishwashers and washers and dryers for every apartment. There are two co-working spaces in the basement and a gym and gameroom/TV room.

Great idea and very professional team! Thanks for this experience
Very good place to live and work. I definitely recommend it.
Amazing coliving space. I loved all my roommates and the staff!
Super cozy place, super nice people! Best experience !! ?
That coliving is nothing short of convenient for anyone looking to make a life in NYC. Great decor, great amenities. Of note, Kijuan, the Community Manager, makes sure the members are in contact with each other about events, our cleaning service, and happenings within the community. I'd recommend them to anyone looking to start a life in New York, whether moving here for their first job in the city, or doing an internship to land that first offer.
Perfect place to live in. It's easy to move in, the place is clean and the manager is reachable at any time if you need something. They also take care to match you with people of your age/background/interest so you can easily get along with your flatmates. It's lively but it's also secure. If you have a problem they'll handle it. The best asset that they have is without a doubt the manager and the staff (cleaning etc.), they'll help you with anything and make sure you enjoy your stay there. So far, my best lease experience!
It’s really the best my rental experience in New York. I have found this company in NYsharedspace.com and from the beginning, I had been surprised who easy process made for clients. I moved-in within few hours and had me 3 great month in this Coliving. Everybody was friendly. Management super professional. I used to pay for my private room around $1600 which is way cheaper than furnished room in services apartment here. The design is like real New York. Highly recommended
Great experience. The staff was great and the house was modern and conveniently located with the subway just blocks away. The kitchen area was especially nice with new appliances and all of the things you need. I had a beautiful private room with a desk. I have lived in NYC before in the Village and after traveling I needed another place to stay to work and enjoy the city.
Coliving is a community living concept for like-minded people to live, work, and play together. Living spaces are well designed, fully furnished, with incidentals and utilities covered by one bill. Catering to various living styles and tastes, the main value of the coliving experience is access to the community.
Coliving is for anyone who wants to enjoy the benefits of living in a community that understands you, encourages you, and where you can achieve more together than individually.
The room you will be assigned might differ slightly from the published photos but will match the room type. You are booking a room/bed by type, not a specific unit.

- If anything is unclear, you can easily reach out to the property by clicking "Message the host" and ask for more details. Make sure your questions are not already covered in the description or the FAQ section.
- NYsharedspace.com makes sure the New York Shared Space property is as advertised, by only sending any money to the operator 24h after you have successfully moved in.

Once you've found the perfect room, click "Reserve" and provide some background information - all within 5 minutes. We will get back to you within 24 hours to either accept or decline your stay. No money is charged until you are guaranteed a room.

We’ll help you settle in your room, show you around the space, and introduce you to the other community members.
